On August 12, my mother-in-law, Wanda “Jo” Kidd, left this life after being part of mine for more than 35 years. But for those who belong to Christ, goodbye is not the final word. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, we can say, “We will see you again.”
Jo came into my life in 1990 when I met Bridy. From the beginning, she welcomed me and loved me like a son. She showed up for our wedding, family adventures, milestones, projects, and countless everyday moments that became treasured memories.
We miss having her here with us, but we are comforted knowing where she is and trusting that, when God calls us home, we will be reunited with her.
Today I am thankful not only for all that Jo brought into our lives, but especially for every memory, adventure, lesson, laugh, and moment that God, in His goodness, gave us with her. He gets all the glory.
