A thoughtful word can stay with someone longer than we realize. I want to be quicker to notice a good effort, say thank you, and encourage someone who may be carrying more than I can see.
That does not mean avoiding honest conversations. It means speaking with care and remembering that the person in front of us matters.
Who could use a little encouragement from you today? A call, a note, or a sincere thank you may mean more than you know.
